The Nutcracker

This delightful ballet is a dream story brought to life through music and dance. The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara, a young girl who’s magical journey begins with a Nutcracker doll and ends with the Land of Sweets. Along the way, you’ll meet the Mouse King, Flowers, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and a cast of enchanting characters. This ballet is narrated for your added enjoyment.

Ana Gasteyer: Holiday Tipple

Ana Gasteyer Postponed until December 15, 2018

Ana Gasteyer: Holiday Tipple, originally scheduled for December 8, 2017 at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts, has been postponed to December 15, 2018. Ana Gasteyer will join the cast of A Christmas Story Live! on FOX, airing Sunday, December 17th at 7:00pm.

Centered around nine-year-old “Ralphie Parker” (Andy Walken), a boy whose only dream is to get a Red Ryder Range Model Carbine Action BB Gun for Christmas, Gasteyer will play “Mrs. Schwartz,” the mother of one of “Ralphie’s” friends.

Gasteyer joins previously announced cast members Emmy Award nominee Maya Rudolph (“Saturday Night Live,” “Bridesmaids”), two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick (“How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying,” “The Producers,” “Manchester by the Sea”), Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “30 Rock”) and Emmy Award nominee Chris Diamantopoulos (“Good Girls Revolt,” “Silicon Valley,” “Episodes”).

Patrons who purchased tickets to the December 8, 2017 performance at the Grunin Center will have their tickets exchanged or fully refunded, and will be given the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the December 15, 2018 performance. Tickets for the December 2018 performance will go on sale in July 2018, please check back to grunincenter.org for more details, and be sure to tune in to A Christmas Story Live! on FOX on December 17th at 7:00pm.

A Grunin Center Tradition, this musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol is the timeless tale of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge who hates Christmas. Shocked into action by visits from three ghosts that take him on a journey to the past, present, and the future; Scrooge discovers the true meaning of Christmas. The music and dancing of A Christmas Carol will help put everyone in the holiday spirit!
