About the Showcases
Please join OCVTS Grunin Performing Arts Academy dancers for our 2022 Winter Dance Concert, a reconstruction of “The Nutcracker.”
The Nutcracker, which first premiered a week before Christmas by Moscow’s Imperial Theatre in 1892, is a classic, magical story of Clara and her Nutcracker. The ballet was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, and the musical score was created by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Since then, ballet companies all around the world have performed this holiday tradition, where audiences are transported to a wondrous world of magic and joy. Please enjoy our reconstructed rendition!
In addition to dance numbers from the Nutcracker, the audience will have the opportunity to see dance pieces from our talented dance ensemble!
