About Michelle

After graduating from SUNY Fredonia with a degree in Music Education, Michelle Youngs moved to San Bernardino, CA where she helped start the band program in the unified school district.  She then taught K-5 General Music in a district outside of Boston while going back to school to earn a degree in School Administration.  She worked as an assistant principal before beginning her work in performing arts centers.

Prior to working at the Grunin Center, Michelle worked in the education and programming departments of a performing arts center in Charlotte, NC.  She created many programs for area schools and for the community before doing more behind-the-scenes work for large-scale events.  While in Charlotte, Michelle earned a certificate in Arts Management.

Michelle moved to New Jersey in the fall of 2017 to start working at the Grunin Center where she manages the production operations of the Center and oversees the front of house and technical staff.  She enjoys working with the entire Grunin Center team to help bring the world-class performances and cultural engagements to life in our beautiful theater and on the OCC campus.  Michelle cannot wait for patrons to fill our theater again so that we can enjoy the magic of live arts together.
