About the Show

Max Darwin earned the moniker The Amazing Max” for his extraordinary skills as a magician and also for his ability to entertain adult audiences while keeping the little ones spellbound.

Max combines magic and comedy, making objects appear and disappear and generally defying the laws of physics inches from theatergoers’ faces. This high-energy, interactive and all-around silly show is appropriate for audiences of all ages (recommended 3 & up).

The Amazing Max is a perfect way to spend time with the entire family!

The Amazing Max is “an awesome and hilarious live magic show” – PBS Kids.

About Max Darwin

Max Darwin first appeared on stage before he could walk!  He loves theater, magic, ninjas, and the sound of children laughing.  His stage show, The Amazing Max, has been playing in NYC Off-Broadway and touring across the county since 2011.  He can be seen as a featured artist on Season 3 & 4 of “Brain Games” (National Geographic Channel) and magic consultant for “Gotham” (Fox) and “American’s Got Talent” (NBC).

As an actor TV credits include “FBI”, “Sneaky Pete”, “Girls”, “Blindspot”, “Black Box”, and hosting the hit Nickelodeon show “Game Farm”. He has also appeared in various national TV commercials such as T-Mobile with DJ Khaled, Axe Body Spray, Verizon, Bank of America, and Coca-Cola.

Max was selected as an artist in residence as part of The New Victory Theater’s Labworks program and collaborated with Academy Award Winner Alexander Dinelaris (“Birdman”).

During COVID-19 Max stepped onto a virtual stage to perform perhaps his most incredible feat ever: Getting kids truly excited about learning something and – in the process – showing them how to believe in themselves.  Max is mentoring students all over the U.S. and as far away as Mexico, Finland, Kuwait, and Hong Kong.

About the Show

The Amazing Max has stepped onto a virtual stage to perform perhaps his most incredible feat ever: Getting kids truly excited about performing magic themselves and – in the process – showing them how to believe in themselves.

Since Max is not currently performing in the theater, he is presenting a virtual magic experience that can be enjoyed from your sofa! Max will bring his magic and jokes, plus teach your kids magic tricks using objects available right in your home. All you need is 1 pencil, 2 quarters, 2 nickels, 2 pennies, and a deck of cards. Magic experience not required!

Recommended for ages 6 & up.  For younger kids who would like to participate, an adult presence is recommended to help them with the tricks.

VIP Experience includes a virtual meet and greet with Max before the show where he’ll teach you additional magic tricks. Main event attendance is NOT included in the cost of the VIP ticket and must be purchased separately.

Max Darwin has long been considered one of New York City’s top entertainers.  He earned the title “The Amazing Max” for his extraordinary skills as a magician and also for his ability to entertain audiences while keeping the little ones spellbound.  His Off Broadway solo show, The Amazing Max, has received rave reviews from The NY Times, Huffington Post, and PBS Kids.  Max can also be seen on TV including the the Emmy nominated show Brain Games (National Geographic), Sneaky Pete (Amazon), Blindspot (NBC), Black Box (ABC), and Game Farm (Nickelodeon).
