The Music of Debussy and Ravel

Apr 09, 2027 2:00 pm $10 Bösendorfer Recital Room

Join OCC artist faculty Jee Sun Lee (violin), Ben Capps (cello), and Brian Gilmore (piano) for an afternoon of French chamber music featuring the evocative works of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. The program opens with Debussy’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in G Minor and Sonata for Cello and Piano in D Minor, composed during the final years of his life in the aftermath of World War I. Rich in color and emotion, these late works reveal a deeply personal musical voice. The concert concludes with Ravel’s magnificent Piano Trio in A Minor, a masterpiece celebrated for its beauty, power, and artistry.
