CAMP shows are designed for local summer camps to have access to arts education during the summer months, free of charge. Limited tickets will be made available to the public. Reservations of public tickets begin Monday, August 12 by contacting Jaclyn Wood at the Grunin Center for the Arts: 732-255-0500 or jwood@ocean.edu. Reservations are required.

 

About the Show

BLAST OFF with Janet’s Planet! Explore the wonders of the solar system by traveling at the “speed of thought” in this interactive performance that takes families and young audiences on a virtual tour across the universe.

Based on the educational television show that airs on 144 public television stations nationwide, Janet’s Planet fans are in for a real treat as they see the galaxy from Janet’s futuristic Mission Control.  The live show engages and challenges young minds while inspiring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) potential in every student grades 2-8.  Janet’s Planet promotes critical thinking, scientific literacy, encourages lifelong learning, and brings to light the wonderful creativity that is an integral part of science. As Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

Janet's Planet Space CampWant to explore more of the Solar System? The Novins Planetarium and Janet’s Planet are teaming up for a week-long Space Camp! Spend a fun-filled week exploring the Solar System, walking on the Moon, planning a mission to Mars and even meeting a real Astronaut! August 19th – 23rd. For Ages 7-12. Lunch is included each day!
